Other major enhancements?
The whole damage model has also undergone a huge overhaul. The bodywork dents as it did before, but now the cars roll a lot more realistically, boots can get smashed open and flap as you bounce along the uneven road surfaces and bumpers can get knocked loose and dangle or get ripped off. The whole damage issue adds to the realism and will affect how you play the game.
But does Colin actually have any input in the game or is his name just slapped on the box?
You're being cynical again, aren't you? Colin's had a lot of input, especially on how the car handles (which he also did for the first game), and that shows in the finished product. The first game was noted for its tremendously realistic handling and that's been built upon and improved. Even co-driver Nicky Grist has had his say on the game's mechanics, different track surfaces and how things should work when you're in the car.
But what about the tracks? Any famous ones in there for us to race?
Not one, but that's not necessarily a bad thing as it gives the track designers complete freedom to come up with courses that work in the game. Though you might have a famous track that's great to drive in real life, it doesn't automatically mean it's great to drive in a game, and if the designers do them as well as they did in the first game, you can bet you're in for a lot of fun.
Do say...
Oh no! The bonnet's come up and I can't see!
Don't say...
They're just cashing in on the first game's popularity.
Updated physics model
The whole damage issue has been addressed
