Here's a new feature for Future Gamer. They are exactly like our normal reviews, but one-eighth the size. We shall call them... Mini-Reviews...

Mini-Review
Deja Vu I & II
Game Boy Color From: Kemco

While we do get the niggling feeling that we've seen this all before, most notably in Shadowgate (a game which used exactly the same point and click interface), the chance to be a private investigator in a dodgy B-movie isn't something we'd want to pass up. You play the role of Ace Harding PI, a seedy 'private dick' who wakes up in his office after a heavy night with no memory, a dead body on his desk and a strange sense of - you guessed it - deja vu. The interface is fiddly but there's lots to do, including the game's sequel which follows on once you've completed the original. Adventure fans should check it out.

Mini-Review
Street Fighter Alpha
Game Boy Color From: Capcom

One of the most enduring SNES classics returns to a Nintendo console for the first time in many years, and to be perfectly honest it's about as good as we could expect it to be on the little Game Boy Color. The graphics are clear and sharp, and the game is certainly far better than the dire GBC version of Mortal Kombat 4, but it's hampered by the lack of buttons and the slow speed of the machine. The fights aren't as quick as they should be and it all feels far too simplistic, despite the number of moves available. Harsh, perhaps, but a Street Fighter game needs to be something truly special to live up to its reputation.
