Yu Suzuki's latest masterpiece, Shenmue, is still selling incredibly well on import. The language barrier may be off-putting for some, but the various guides available on the Internet are very popular and manage to maintain a large amount of fun in the game.

Gran Turismo 2 is keeping import sales very high, especially the Japanese version since the American version has the unfortunate '98.6 per cent' bug. It remains to be seen how many of the gamers who buy GT2 will upgrade to the PlayStation2's GT2000. The massively improved visuals of GT2000 could well win many over to the machine, but those with the predecessors in the series may be disappointed with its lack of originality.

Way back in the days of Sega's Master System, Capcom released a very entertaining arcade-based title named Strider. It was a classic game then and still is now, despite its ageing aesthetic values. An update has finally arrived in the form of the PlayStation-bound Strider 2. Doing well to be as faithful as possible to the original, Strider 2 has just about everything an update to such a title needs to be successful. Available on February 22 in Japan, Strider 2 is expected to sell very well on import, although a UK/US release is doubtful. A very nice addition to the game is that the original Strider will be bundled with the sequel in a two-CD set.
