Arcade profiles Gulf War veteran and SAS hero Chris Ryan as he plays Metal Gear Solid and compares Konami's virtual espionage sim with real life combat. Other features include "The 50 most powerful people in the games industry today" and a special guide to "Playing like a pro... how to squeeze more fun from your PC, N64 and PlayStation".

PC Gamer
On sale: Monday March 15
Previews of Theme Park 2 and Deus X. Reviews include Alien Vs Predator, Rollercoaster Tycoon and Championship Manager 3. Main feature this issue is a massive, six-page preview of Braveheart, while other choice coverage includes an interview with Terry Pratchett (Discworld Noir).

PlayStation Power
On sale: Wednesday March 17
Previews include Syphon Filter and Um Jamma Lammy (Parappa's second outing). Reviews of FFVIII, Smash Court and Silent Hill rae all in there among others. There's also a report on the recent Tekken 3 championships in London.

Official UK PlayStation Magazine
On sale: Monday March 22
Big previews include Final Fantasy VIII and Speed Freaks. Reviews include Driver, Monaco Grand Prix and Rugrats. Naturally, the PlayStation 2 gets a lot of in-depth coverage and there's a detailed look at the PocketStation.

N64
On sale: Monday March 22
Previews include Pocket Monsters Snap, Revolt and Smash Brothers and reviews include the lovely Mario Party, Castlevania 64 and that quirky driving game Beetle Adventure Racing. Features include an in-depth interview with one of the Turok 2 producers.

EDGE
On sale: Tuesday March 23
Features the unveiling of the Next Generation PlayStation in Tokyo including responses from developers and Sony. Previews of Crazy Taxi, V-Rally 2, and Project Velocity for Dreamcast and NGPS, an Ion Storm profile (Daikatana/Anachronox/Deus Ex). Power Stone, Silent Hill, Silver, Wild Metal Country and Lander are reviewed.

PC Format
On sale: Wednesday March 24
New previews include an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at X Wing Alliance, Europress Rally '99 and Mech Warrior 3. Reviews include Alpha Centauri, Warzone 2100 and Championship Manager 3. The month's big feature focuses on '10 steps to getting a perfect PC'.
