RC Stunt Copter page 2 of 2
PlayStation

There aren't that many tests in the game so it's purely the control system that gives this any kind of longevity, which breaks just about every gameplay rule in the book. What you have to do is hardly exciting enough to make you want to see more.

With gameplay bordering on the non-existent, you're going to have to be a real remote control helicopter fan to want to play this - in which case you've almost certainly got one of the real things and shouldn't need to play this anyway. If you're curious about getting into the hobby then this will almost certainly put you off for life.

Opinion will be divided on this, as unlike most games there's no middle ground. You'll either love its charm and realism or completely hate it and consider it to be the work of a gameplay devil that wants to spoil any chance there is of having fun with it. Forty quid is a lot to spend on something that's so completely different to anything else on the market that you can't imagine how it plays or feels.

If you're tempted, be prepared for many, many frustrating hours of battling the control system, rather than any gameplay challenges. It's a brave attempt to do something a bit different, but it stalls and falls from the sky when you play it. A painful learning experience at best.

FG verdict
A frighteningly complex control system takes any element of fun out of this. For die-hard chopper fans only. 58%
