Wow, a helicopter game review that doesn't make a childish remark about playing with Future Gamer's chopper. Oh bugger.
Les Ellis

Make no mistake about this, RC Stunt Copter is not a game as we know it - it's a full-on toy on a PlayStation disc. In its favour is the fact that you get a realistic simulation of what it feels like to fly a very expensive remote control helicopter, without having to break the bank to buy one of the things for real and then realise you have to get a major loan to buy another one when you trash it on your first go.

However, the main point against it is the control system. You'll have to spend hours, if not days, getting used to the way the twin analogue sticks work (oh yes, it's analogue only by the way). One controls the throttle while one controls the direction. Sounds easy, eh? Well, so does winning a war but you still have to go through Hell first.

To help people get around this is the endless training mode. Survive this and you should be awarded a medal for your patience. Get into the game proper and you experience some real frustration, though. You see, your objective isn't that far away but the totally unnatural controls do their best to prevent you getting there.

While there has obviously been a lot of thought put into the game - the graphics are bright and colourful while the sound effects are unfortunately realistic and whiny - it lacks the kind of depth that makes us want to get to the end of most games. The challenge is not completing it; it's just being able to do anything with some kind of proficiency.
