Future Gamer: Issue 37 £0.00

After all that 'new price point for PlayStation games' furore, we had to ask whether the same should apply to N64 games, and so we did. And you answered us. You'll find out what everyone said in the Features section.

We're rather proud of ourselves this week as we picked up the Future Publishing Innovation of the Year award, which you can read about in the news section. You'll also learn all about Sega's plans to charge Japanese gamers for the pleasure of surfing the Net with their Dreamcasts.

Elsewhere, you'll find out about EA's latest attempt to coax money from your wallet with their new PlayStation football game, and whether Sony's online-only game EverQuest is worth running up your phone bill for.

Naturally, all the Future Gamer regulars are there, with Game Kid being particularly worthy of note this week. Enjoy the magazine.

Preview: Pizza Syndicate (PC)
Shadup a you face if you think only Bullfrog can design business simulation games. Software 2000 from Germany have sprinkled a little parmesan into the genre with this 'run a pizza chain' simulation. It's enough to make your mouth water.
Review: Quake 2 (N64)
We all know how the N64 has suffered from a lack of software so it's doubly pleasing to learn that not only is a new game available, it's a game of this magnitude. All that remains to be asked is whether it's any good. You'll find the answer here.
Feature: Free Stuff
Think you've exhausted your favourite game? Think again. There are tons of additions on the Net, especially for PC first-person shooters, but you need to know where to look. We show you all those goodies you didn't even know existed.

Future Gamer was brought to you by: Andy Smith [editor], Steve Bradley [deputy editor], Mark Wheatley [production editor] and Andy Ashwin [staff writer]. Contributors: Les Ellis, Steve Owen, Dale Bradford, Gideon Kibblewhite, Tony Banks.
