Women Opt For Toy Boy

Duke Nukem outstrips Ann Summers

"Lara Croft is being shafted by the new boy in town," according to a hilarious press release from The Wright Partnership, the company that represents Bandai in the UK. This bizarre statement is qualified thus: "No longer can women complain about their partners drooling over the world-famous cyberbabe when now they have Duke Nukem, their own cyberstud, to ogle at."

Recent sales of Bandai's Duke Nukem action figures have soared, with the majority of purchasers being women (not little boys' mums, of course). Bandai apparently received an "anxious" call from a woman after her local store ran out of little plastic Nukems. She went on to reveal that '90s women were turning away from Ann Summers and Tupperware parties in favour of Duke Nukem evenings. Older readers may spot the link between a 14cm lump of plastic and Ann Summers parties.

The Duke Nukem range of figures is available from all good retailers for £9.99, but won't they all be sold out? Never fear, Future Gamer will try to blag some for all the ladies out there. Look out for a competition in the near future.
