A timely press release reached us this week detailing a new, free online game

This week Future Gamer are running a feature highlighting how you can extend the life of your favourite games by downloading all manner of add-ons and whatnots, so we were glad to learn that there’s also a new, free online game you can all go along and play.

Netropolis, from ISP LineOne, is a simple management game in which you start up a small company in a town (we’ve gone for Cockermouth) and gradually build up your business by buying and selling land, property and companies. And, of course, by doing dirty tricks on your rivals. If that kebab van next to your burger bar’s doing particularly well then it might be time to scupper him with some underhand tricks. But beware - you could get picked up by the fuzz (which is painful), if they’re not on strike.

Getting set up and started is terribly simple so pop along and start building that empire. Oh, and remember to buy your burgers from Wiffy Burgers, eh?
