| Climax Landers Delayed Again |
Japanese Dreamcast owners suffer yet another blow to their RPG-starved diet
In a recent announcement on their website, Sega of Japan shared the unfortunate news that Climax Landers has been delayed due to development problems. Last month, software development bugs were blamed for the game's postponement from July 15 to July 29.
Apparently the extra time was insufficient to fix the game, forcing Sega to make this latest announcement. No new release date was given, but Sega have stated that they'll be updating their website with the new date as soon as it becomes available. This recent delay marks the fourth for Climax's anticipated role-playing epic, which was originally scheduled for release in mid January.
In place of Climax Landers, Japanese gamers will be able to pick up Seaman, Akihabara Pies, and Marionette Handler on July 29. Of course, the big day is August 5, when Japanese gamers will be granted heaven in two CD-ROM's with the release of Soul Calibur and the Shenmue playable demo.
Let's hope Climax can fix up the game and release it to hungry Dreamcast role-playing gamers before the likes of Shenmue cast a shadow over it.
