EB reveal top games after midnight opening

Electronics Boutique opened over 100 stores in the early hours of October 14 for the launch of Sega's 128bit Dreamcast console. Not only did EB flog thousands of pre-ordered Dreamcasts, they even managed to put together a top 10 chart of the games they sold between midnight and 8am. The blessed Hedgehog reigns supreme...

"It was a fantastic start for the Dreamcast," said Steve Wilson, Electronics Boutique's Console Buying Director. "At store level, there was an incredible buzz in build up to launch and, with our Dreamcast@Midnight event, we're expecting to attract a significant share of first day sales. As for the software chart, it's pretty obvious Sonic hasn't lost his touch."

Steve's back at the helm this issue, while I'm swanning around Cuba with my new bride. Sega launch the Dreamcast this week and it's going down a storm.
