Dreamcast's Dream Launch

Dear Future Gamer

I'm writing in response to "Dreamcast Drought" in issue 61. Is it me or do people have no patience these days? No disrespect to you, Manhead, but lighten up. Can anyone remember the last time a console was released with 18 launch games? Can anyone remember the last time a console had 30-plus games by the time it entered its first Christmas? No, I thought you wouldn't because it's never happened before. I remember back in the days when I was an annoying little git, there was a little grey machine called the SNES which had just been released. Can anyone remind us how many launch games there were for that? Four, if I remember rightly.

And what's this about mediocre titles? Power Stone, Ready 2 Rumble and Soul Calibur? Are these mediocre titles? I think not.

Rob Wilson

FG: I'm inclined to agree with you, Rob. Despite the launch hiccup, the Dreamcast has come out strongly and has hit the ground running. So to speak.
