Mini-Review
Interstate 82
PC From: Activision

Interstate 76 was a bit of a laugh; not terribly outstanding but a giggle for a while. Interstate 82 isn't much of an improvement. The gameplay's essentially the same - drive around shooting things - but now you can get out of your car and, er, run around. The car physics are all over the shop and the level design's hardly inspired. Overall, the game's got very low production values and sloppy programming, with some of the worst pop-up we've seen in a long while. With games like Driver and the great Midtown Madness around, you'd be very foolish indeed to attempt to get your driving thrills from this poor offering.

12 O Clock High
PC From: Take 2

Unless you're a dedicated wargamer who wallows in reams of indeterminable facts and figures and relishes the challenge a clumsy and awkward interface can provide, read no further. 12 O Clock High is just the same as Talonsoft's early Battle of Britain, but set in a different time frame when it's the turn of the Allies to sock it to the Hun. There's plenty to do, and though you're fighting against the interface most of the time, there's some enjoyment to be had for the dedicated. However, even they will find the game distinctly average. There are far more accessible and enjoyable wargames around covering the same time period, so track one of those down first.
