Lawks.
There's all manner of ordnance to pick up and foister on your opponents and this, coupled with the game's tracks will make driving a whole different kettle of fish to what we're used to. Imagine lining yourself up for a particularly difficult corkscrew jump, only to have your timing and alignment thrown out of whack thanks to a rocket impacting on you at just the wrong time.
Sounds like it could be difficult.
Winning in Championship mode, where the player has to complete an entire racing season, is going to be tough because the tracks start off easy and get progressively harder (as you'd expect). You're really going to have to go some to win in this mode on the hardest skill level.
It would be neat to be able to create your own tracks...
And so you can. The game includes a very easy-to-use 3D track editor. Simply lay out your basic track and then, using some neat icons, pull it around really easily. Want a hill here? Simply click and hold the pointer over the part of the track you're interested in and pull up. Everything's in 3D and rotateable so it's easy to see what your track's going to look like. Then, of course, you can save it out and get your mates to drive the track.
*Weighty influence from the seminal Stunt Car Racer
*Fully 3D tracks
*Easy-to-use level editor so you can design your own tracks
*And there are weapons to fire too!
*Could turn out to be another WipeOut on wheels
