Dungeon Keeper 2 page 2 of 2

Groovy. Any other improvements?
A plethora of them. There's a new trap option that enables you to set up chain reactions to ensnare heroes. The first-person possession option's been improved as well. Nowadays when you go and possess a creature you can take advantage of their special skills - the Dark Elf, for example, has a sniper ability. Get into his body and zoom in on any unsuspecting heroes off in the distance. You can also possess someone and then create war parties - gangs of baddies that will follow you around the dungeons, which is handy when you want to get stuck into the battles in person.

And all of this is still using the 'gold to buy things' method?
Kind of. Manna has now been introduced and so as well as simply getting hold of gold you've got to encourage your dungeonites to be happy and emit manna for you to use to your advantage. There are extra spells to research, more traps to lay and varying levels of reinforcement to employ. Prepare for some complex battling once you get deeper into the game.

Excellent! Give me more!
More then you shall have. There's a My Pet Dungeon option that lets you create dungeons and gradually introduce heroes, which is very handy. Suppose you want to test out a new and devious trap system. Do it in MPD and then let the heroes in. See how well the traps work and then alter it as you see fit.

Boy, oh boy, oh boy!
Indeed. Miss Whiplash is soon to find herself with plenty of company.

*New first-person skills to take advantage of
*Tactical battles in the new Skirmish mode
*A plethora of new spells, traps, rooms and creatures
*A whole new hardware-accelerated game engine to make things look groovy
*The level of detail could overwhelm a novice
