Dear Future Gamer,
I am the proud of owner of a PlayStation and an N64. I love both systems and they both have their advantages, however, when I read through letters in magazines I see that no-one has picked up on the PlayStation’s worst asset: the analogue stick. It's just not analogue! It's a round D-pad. You can't move any more freely than you can with the D-pad, and it doesn’t make you run faster if you press it harder. Whereas with the N64 stick, well...
The Dual Shock is great but why have Sony made such a slack stick? I hope games such as Ape Escape will make better use of the analogue sticks, and why is only one used on most games by the way?
I hope the Dreamcast controller doesn’t have the same inadequacies.

Sorry, I can't agree with you Ben. I find the analogue controller much, much easier to use for most games than I do the D-pad. Gran Turismo springs to mind, in fact we find that any driving game is made easier by an analogue stick. The N64 stick is great, as is the Dreamcast one and though the PlayStation’s controller might not be quite as good as either of those it’s still a fabulous piece of kit. Some people just can’t be pleased…
