N64 Prices - What You Think

Virgin's recent slashing of prices for new PlayStation games prompted a flood of missives from your good selves which we published last week. Naturally, we then wondered what you'd all think of reduced N64 games prices, and here's what you told us...

I think that N64 games should be reduced in price as they don't currently sell that well, and with the recent PlayStation price reduction they might go even more downhill.
Robert Armitt

Should N64 prices mirror PlayStation prices? Absolutely. Nintendo have made a stupid mistake by not jumping on the CD-ROM bandwagon, and the fact they chose to stick with cartridges shouldn't mean they can transfer the extra cost on to the consumer. Nintendo should accommodate the customers, not the other way around. Sony are doing the smart thing by using aggressive price-cuts, and unless Nintendo chooses to compete, they'll end up in second place and far behind.

As an owner of a PlayStation and N64, I tend to buy more games for the PlayStation as they're cheaper, but they're not as good as N64 games. I think N64 games should be reduced as more people will buy them - people buy more PlayStation games just because they're cheaper.
Aaron Crisp

Of course N64 prices should be the same. When you can buy games for £31-£34 from mail order places like Dept 1 for the cost of a phone call then it's ridiculous to have to pay £40-£50, and fork out £4 for a travel pass, as well as putting up with the hassle of a long and busy trip into town and back.
