Turok: Rage Wars page 2 of 2
N64

How many do you get?
16, from the humble pistol right up to the gruesome Warhammer, Napalm Gel and Chestburster. There are also five different weapon pick-ups scattered willy-nilly about the arenas, including mines, the Iron Claw and the tasteful Cerebral Bore. Add to this the fact that each character has unique special powers and you can see that things are going to get very messy indeed.

What's the Chestburster? It sounds like something from Alien.
That's exactly what it is - a nasty little critter floating in blue liquid sits in the chamber of your gun. Hitting an opponent with this beastly weapon (geddit?) should provide a lot of laughs.

Why?
Because he'll know that he's been hit but his health won't go down. So, he'll go on his merry way for a short while...

I see what's coming...
... and then CRACK... GURGLE... SQUELCH... a bloody great alien 'thing' rips its way out of his chest. Hence the name Chestburster. Ouch!

Charming! So which characters do I get to choose from?
There are 17 to begin with, including Adon, the Oblivion Death Guard, the Campaigner, Lord of the Dead and, of course, Turok himself. The included training mode will help you get to grips with each one's unique charms.

How many maps are included?
Acclaim reckon that you'll be able to strut your stuff in 36 different arenas. That should keep you busy for a while. Well, at least until Perfect Dark comes out.

  • Plenty of play modes, even if you've got no mates
  • 16 chunder-inducing weapons, plus five pick-ups
  • 17 characters to play, some from Turok/Turok 2, some new ones
  • Let's hope the bots are as smart as they say they are
  • It's not Perfect Dark. Heck, it's not even Turok 3!
