8: Its two-player mode is excellent fun. This is, in many ways, a game you can play with anyone, because there are no moves to learn.
A: "Hello? Look, sorry about finishing with you earlier. Do you want to come over and play this amazing new game I've got?"
B: That might be good when I get back from the pub/club/Ibiza, with all my funky twenty-something mates. Yeah.
C: What? Two people mindlessly pulling a trigger? That's like watching a looped reel of a 'boss' fight from a Van Damme film...
9: Thing is, these light guns cost money. They're expensive. One is pricey enough, but two...
A: Money is no object! I shall put my newly reacquired loved one on the game!
B: I'd have to think about it. It would be worth it if there were other light gun games coming out. But if not...
C: I'd rather clasp a sausage between my buttocks, then kick a Doberman's testicles than spend a penny on such trash...
10: And you'll need to have a pretty sizable TV to get the most out of it, too. A portable just won't do...
A: NASA hire my massive TV to transmit messages into space every night for the SETI project.
B: About twenty-six inches, or so. And my TV's pretty big, too! (Girls: replace previous sentence with: "But it's just big boned! Not fat!")
C: Will an eight-inch black-and-white portable do? Oh.
Right. Now score a 10 for every A, 8 for each B and 0 for every C. The resulting figure is the score you should award to House of the Dead 2. Got it?

| An accomplished light gun game that you'll either love or hate. As a conversion, it's only surpassed by the incredible Soul Calibur. If you can afford two guns, it'll be excellent. Just don't expect the solo-player mode to enthrall you for long. |
