Gaming highlights? Hmm... All the new consoles being released, me getting a new PC, finally getting into Internet gaming, joining the venerable FGC, Wip3out, Speed Freaks, Half-Life and Unreal Tournament.
Gaming lowlights - my PS buggering up at a critical moment in FFVII, suspicious black plastic things falling out of said PS, said PS now only working when upside down, not knowing which of the new consoles to buy, years of debt after purchase of PC and wishing I had a less expensive hobby, such as cross-stitching.
Future Gamer - what a year! I still think you're up there with your wallet-emptying cousins, and the fact that I get it free every week is absolutely fantastic. One day all magazines will be made this way...

Not a bad year for games at all. Zelda, Half-Life, Power Stone, Tiberian Sun, Ready 2 Rumble... and I haven't even played Soul Calibur or Sonic Adventure yet! Not a bad year by any stretch of the imagination. But the coming year... Perfect Dark, Donkey Kong, Jet Force Gemini, Smash Bros and Zelda: Gaiden should give N64 the retirement it deserves. Shenmue, Sega GT and whatever else Namco, Capcom and Midway can serve up should seal Dreamcast's place as a major system. That's before PlayStation2 brings Tekken Tag Tournament, New Ridge Racer and Final Fantasy IX too. And then there's Dolphin...
Well, if anything is guaranteed, Future Gamer will have plenty to write about over the next year. Happy birthday!
