Can I order a PlayStation2 from the States before it comes out in Europe, and if I do, will I encounter any problems with software or the variation in power supply?

FG: No! Don't! The US model will be configured to run on the NTSC TV standard and we use the PAL TV standard. Also, the Americans have a 110-volt electricity supply and we use 240 volts so you'll have problems there too. Be patient and wait for the proper UK version.
