Yes, it's back - the Wipeout-style off-road racer with more shake, rattle and roll than a dodgy camper van.

Ah, I remember Rollcage. It was rather good: drivin' through buildings, over power ups, up walls, round tunnels, shooting-off weapons at opponents, a pumping soundtrack... It was like some sort Wipeout-style-monster truck fest. With bells.
Indeed. So it may surprise you that the original game only achieved modest success at the box office.

Surely not.
It could be that the gaming public was too weirded-out by it. Certainly the little topsy-turvy cars, which could be driven any-which-way up, were buggers to handle, and the game as whole was completely bonkers.

But we loved it.
And we're going to love the sequel, too, because from what we've seen of it, it's even better.

Ooh! My rollcage is positively bursting with anticipation.
So it should be. The lads 'n' lasses at Attention To Detail have been living up to their name - they've brought in a whole new starting grid of improvements.

Are the ve-(hic!)-cles - excuse me - easier to control then?
Indeed they are. They have a zippy turning circle and yet they're a lot easier keep under reign, even at high speeds and through tight circuits. And should you get into difficulty, there's still the option of the Circle button, which soon sets you back on the right track. Also, a new, intelligent 'Stack O Cam' helps you regain your bearings when you come a cropper by withdrawing the view a little so you can see where you're going. So they do think of you.
