Devil Inside
PC Release: March From: Cryo




There have been games based on imaginary future TV shows before and, curiously, they all seem to have their roots in violence. French developers Cryo continue the trend with the forthcoming release of Devil Inside.

So he did. Well done.

I know a lot about popular music...
We don't care right now; I'm trying to tell you about this new game.

All right, all right (all right, all right, all right...). Sorry. It's about a future TV show then?
It is. It's set in the cable TV world of Devil Inside, a gameshow (hosted by Jack T. Ripper - ho ho) that concentrates on the macabre and features ex-cop turned investigative journalist Dave Ackland, who's not quite who he seems.

Ooh! What, he's got integrity or something?
Cheeky. No, David is blessed with the ability to turn himself into a woman called Deva, who's actually a devil with some impressive supernatural powers.

I wish I could do that!
You wouldn't leave the house...

Ahem.
But anyway, the game's set in a haunted house on Halloween (impressed yet?) and a whole lot of nasty stuff's gone down. Dave/Deva's got to clear the house of the living dead that now control it, and solve a series of crimes to lay the poor souls to rest once and for all. This is all broadcast live by the TV station.
