| Daffy Duck: Fowl Play |
| Game Boy Color |
From: Infogrames |
The latest Game Boy Color product of the Infogrames/Looney Tunes alliance, Fowl Play is a platform game (of course) with a slightly twisted attitude. The emphasis is less on jumping and exploring than killing things with sticks of dynamite. You get an unlimited supply of explosives and loads of cartoon creatures to test your blasting skills on. Using a combination of luck and timing, it's possible to lob a stick on top of a creature from just about anywhere on the screen. After that, you wait for the fuse to burn down, watch the explosion and then eat the remains. Decent puzzles and top graphics make this a cut above the average Mario clone.

| Magical Tetris |
| Game Boy Color |
From: Activision |
One of the golden rules that game developers would do well to bear in mind is 'never mess with Tetris'. Somebody always tries, though, in the mistaken belief that a few new block shapes or a misbegotten story mode will be a big improvement to Alexey Pajitnov's original design. To be fair, this effort from Activision is one of the better ones. There are Tetris-related challenges to try and Disney characters to meet, but on the machine that plays host to the definitive versions of the game, there's no need to settle for anything less than the original 1989 edition or the excellent colour DX update.
