Zombies and Yeti? In the same game? What the...
Gideon Kibblewhite

Appearance:
Akuji: The Heartless-style 3D slash 'n' scorch fest with talking.

So we're talking about a sword and sorcery RPG here then, are we?
We certainly are, but an RPG with an emphasis on real-time action and combat, as well as dialogue.

A bit like Soul Reaver?
In fact, in looks it's very similar to Soul Reaver, although you might compare how it plays to Shadowman or Legacy of Kain.

Come on then: give us the game's bonkers storyline.
As you find out in the gloriously cheesy introduction sequence, in Crusaders of Might and Magic you play Drake, a loner toughened by exposure, hardship and a life of fighting the scourge that destroyed his family when he was a boy. The game joins things as Drake is swept up into the middle of a new crusade to rid the lands of the Legion of the Fallen, a hideous army of the undead.

Sounds like our young hero has got his work cut out.
He certainly has. Drake must fight his way through five distinct realms of 15 levels, from the spires of the Citadel to the murky depths of Duskwood. Luckily, though, he can run, jump, duck, slash, throw axes and cast spells. As the game progresses, he picks up more and more spells and can eventually become powerful enough to take on the leader of the undead army himself.

Who is?
Necros. Chap with bad skin. Tolkien-esque Dark Lord-type figure.

I see. And what kind of enemies lie between Drake his encounter with this Necros fellow? The usual spooks and goblins, I take it.
Not at all. A veritable bestiary of nasties assail young Drake on his quest, including hideous oversized grubs and zombies that can cast spells.

Zombies that can cast spells? That hardly seems fair.
Life often isn't, mate, especially if you're a swashbuckling fantasy hero. You should know that. And besides, not all the creatures Drake encounters are unfriendly.
