Clan Report page 2 of 3

Of course, a clan wouldn't be much of a clan if it didn't play any matches. Thankfully, the new message boards on our website have helped matters considerably, although we still keep our close links with the Future Gamer Chat Forum. On the battlefield, despite the arrival of Unreal Tournament and Quake 3: Arena, Half-life and Team Fortress Classic are still the games that we spend most of our time playing. Recently, [FGC]_RoleModel arranged a pair of hard-fought TFC matches against the [JPF] Clan. The first ended in a tight draw, while the second... um... didn't go quite so well.

It's not all bad news, though. Despite the fact that you don't need to be of any considerable standard to join, many of our members are fragging away freely. [FGC]_Felix is often ranked in the top 50 of the world at Unreal Tournament, while [FGC]_Gaz and [FGC]_Macca are often seen near the top of CLQ's Half-Life rankings. For a more detailed analysis of who's hot and who's like Attica, check out the inter-clan ranking table at the newly launched www.fgclan.co.uk.

Another thing that makes FGC special is the community spirit present. For instance, [FGC]_Lock recently asked for a clan member or two to playtest his newly-made Dark Ruins HL Deathmatch map, and was subsequently inundated with more offers than Rod Stewart's had younger girlfriends. The completed map can now be found on the website, along with FGC's official Half-Life model. Techie-whiz [FGC]_Hiryu created this little masterpiece and it definitely suits FGC; more so than the 'Helmet Bloke' does anyway! [FGC]_Jaffa's brilliant level editing section is yet another thing that you've got to check out on the site. I can honestly say that you'll not find a better introduction to Half-Life editing anywhere online, and there's plenty present to keep both newbies and pros occupied.
