Plenty for everyone then?
We reckon there's enough there to entertain even the most fickle players during a post-pub session.
I presume they've tinkered with the weapons systems too?
They sure have. Some have gone, others improved and new ones introduced. There are 12 weapons instead of the previous game's eight and now when you collect two weapons that are the same they join up to become a super-powerful version of that weapon.
It was hard to pick up and play the first game. Is that still true?
Not any more. The designers have listened to the criticism that the first game was a little difficult for beginners because it was so easy to get disorientated and so they've included a couple of clever tricks to make it easier for novices to know which way is up. The game's physics engine has also been tweaked so the cars handle even better this time round.
Wahey! It could be a goody then?
We reckon so. The designers have taken what we thought was a great formula and merely enhanced it without throwing out the stuff that made the game great in the first place.
Do say...
Wipeout on wheels just got better.
Don't say...
Wipeout on wheels just got a thinly veiled second bite of the cherry.
More modes of play than you can shake a stick at
That's true in multiplayer too
The weapons have been tweaked and improved
It's Wipeout on wheels!
Again...
