Lucky Luke |
Game Boy Color |
From: Infogrames |
Hailing from the days when men were men and tumbleweed was lethal, Lucky Luke is a genuine wild west hero. He looks slightly inbred, but his jumping and shooting skills are unrivalled. In his quest to bag the reward money for the outlaw Billy the Kid, Luke gets to explore some of the nicest looking levels you'll find in a Game Boy Color title. He swings from poles and peers through windows, there are some great set pieces involving buffalo stampedes and moving trains, and when he pops a cap in one of the suspicious locals, they drop their pants in submission. One of Infogrames' best colour platform games.

720° |
Game Boy Color |
From: Midway |
Back when Tony Hawk was just a snot-nosed teenager, 720° was the first and only skateboarding game. It was the business in the arcades, but the home conversions were of variable quality. This Game Boy Color version is surprisingly competent. The miniaturised graphics capture the look of the original, and a responsive set of controls replicates much of the feel of the gameplay. The object is to win money in the skate parks and spend it on improved equipment. As ever, there's a tough time limit. It's a shame that the coders didn't include a gentler free skating option, but this is good stuff anyway.
