Die Hard Trilogy 2: Viva Las Vegas |
PC |
Release: April |
From: Fox Interactive |

Yippie-ki-yay indeed, Martha Farquahar! John McClane is back and this time he's really quite annoyed...
Andy Ashwin
What's he pissed off about this time?
Dunno. Bad guys and stuff probably. He's probably having marital problems too, like usual. This time the action takes place in Las Vegas...
...maybe he lost his money in a game of craps?
Craps, heh! Maybe. Who knows? Who cares? Don't you want to just run around, weapon in hand, causing death and destruction on a massive scale?
Yes!
And drive around, smashing through shop windows, pedestrians and fire hydrants?
Of course! Hang on though... that sounds just like the first game!
Indeed it does. Die Hard Trilogy 2 appears to be identical to Die Hard Trilogy, only in a different setting. There are three distinct game types (hence the 'trilogy' bit) - third-person shoot-em-up, first-person Time Crisis-style shooter and driving - which are essentially the same as in the original. Fox Interactive have added a Movie mode, which mixes the three game styles into a story-driven adventure, complete with cinematic cut-scenes. Thrilling stuff, eh?
Hmm... maybe I'll just stick with the original.
Die Hard Trilogy 2 may be more of the same, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's like if someone gave you a yummy pie and then gave you a slightly different yet equally yummy pie the following week, you'd hardly say, "No! Take that pie away!" Well, would you?
