Issue 71 - March 23, 2000

Future Gamer: Issue 71 £0.00

Indrema then. Serious bit of kit or complete hoax? You decide. Also making the news this week are Codemasters, who have delayed the release of Colin McRae Rally 2. It's not like the Codies to slip, but at least they haven't canned the project, whereas HotGen have abandoned Resident Evil on the Game Boy Color. Ho hum

You've got to check out our Spot The Ball competition this week - not only is it hilarious but we've decided to give all the office tat away once and for all - you could win a puffer jacket, ammo tin, spooky Halloween, er, pumpkin thing, slime, rubbish GTA 2 postcards and various other bits of crap. Hurrah!

Laters.

Andy Smith - Editor

In this issue:
Preview: Metropolis Street Racer (Dreamcast)
While the world and his wife focus on PlayStation2's Gran Turismo 2000, Sega and Bizarre Creations have been quietly working away on their own next gen racer and we've had an early look at what could well turn out to be a nail in Sony's tyres.
Review: Battletanx (N64)
In an N64 top-heavy issue, the FG team get to grips with what Wild Metal Country should have been. Multiplayer mayhem beckons and you might well find you want to be a part of it. Well, we think you will anyway.
Feature: Giving the Game Away
Magazines and the Internet let people play demos of games in development. This might sound like a great idea, but is it? In the first of a two-part feature, James Price examines the demo situation.

Future Gamer was brought to you by: Andy Smith [editor], Mark Wheatley [deputy editor], Andy Ashwin [news editor] and Gideon Kibblewhite [staff writer]. Contributors: Dale Bradford, Martin Kitts, Tim Smith, James Price, Sue Denim
