Dreamcast

Fair enough. So is MSR as complex as GT2?
Sega are remaining tight-lipped about the various play modes for the time being, although it's believed that there will be a standard arcade mode, a two player duel and a 'Gang Battle'. The latter is presumably some kind of championship mode, whereby you can earn money to upgrade and purchase cars. But then again maybe they'll surprise us.

Anything else of note? And don't start on about the graphics!
When you drive around London, Big Ben will show the correct time, taken from the Dreamcast's internal clock. It will even chime every quarter of an hour. Bizarre have implemented other cheeky touches too, but we know absolutely nothing about them. Sorry.

How about the sound?
The in-car stereo system will reflect the city you're in. Bizarre have put together 27 pieces of music, ranging from dance, jazz and pop to R 'n' B, rock and country. They've also recorded a load of traffic reports, news and jingles to make it sound like you're listening to a real radio show. Sounds a lot like Grand Theft Auto to us, which is hardly a bad thing.

Do say...
Cripes! That looks almost real!

Don't say...
Only 30 cars?

  • It's a graphical masterpiece
  • Over 30 beautifully modelled cars
  • Plenty of Dreamcast trickery - Big Ben tells the actual time
  • Why are we waiting? Pull your finger out Sega!
  • Did we mention the lovely graphics?
