Neil West

FG: Played any good games lately?
CK: Can't stop playing Zelda, it's fantastic and I really fancy the fairies!

FG: What do you think of Lara Croft?
CK: She's not as good looking as the fairies in Zelda.

FG: What name or initials do you enter on high-score tables?
CK: That's exciting, eh!

FG: What games systems do you have at home?
CK: Lots. I've got a PC, PlayStation, Nintendo 64, Saturn, ZX Spectrum and a Commodore 64. I've got a Dreamcast on order.

FG: If you could keep just one, which would it be?
CK: N64, Nintendo publish the best games in the world.

FG: What's your favourite bit in Super Mario 64?
CK: Anywhere hot, I love seeing his arse on fire. In a platonic, male bonding kid of way, of course.

FG: Who'd win in a fight, Sonic or Mario?
CK: Mario, of course. Hedgehog spines are no defence from a plumber's wrench.

FG: Were games better in the "good old days"?
CK: Yeah, when we only had 48K and 16 colours and the only 3D was with a dodgy pair of specs, games were really great! Yeah, right. Anybody who tells you Spectrum side-scrollers were better than Mario 64 is a liar and I'll fight them to prove it.

FG: Describe Dreamcast in five words.
CK: Great Technology Shit Games So-Far. Does So-Far count as one word?

FG: No, you blew it. What's the most overrated game ever?
CK: Pong, that's nostalgia for you. If you ever played against somebody who had at least the function of half their brain and one hand, a point could last for hours. YAWN.
