Snowboard Kids 2 page 2 of 2

Mwah-ha-ha-ha! Brilliant! Should be a hoot in multiplayer games.
For sure. Four-player games are a real daft laugh, although pretty much the same as in the first game. Unfortunately the action is annoyingly slow with four players, even on an NTSC cart. While this slowdown is apparent in single-player games, it never really detracts from the fun like it does in multiplayer battles.

So it’s rubbish then.
Not at all. It’s really good fun, just don’t expect the exhilarating speed of 1080 or Cool Boarders. Mario Kart isn’t exactly mega-fast but it’s still a wonderful game that the majority of us wouldn’t change for the world.

Fair point. So is the single-player game any cop?
Why yes, it’s pretty good fun. The single-player game takes the ‘story mode’ approach. Plenty of cut(e)-scenes interspersed with races and stunt competitions. During the races you can collect money or earn a hefty wedge by pulling off cool stunts. This money can be used to buy a new board or tart up your old one. Standard fare really, but done with a cutesy feel especially for the kids. Snowboard Kids 2 does for the kids what Barry White does for the ladies.

???
Yes, that too.

*It’s snowboarding, the coolest of the extreme sports
*Plentiful power-ups pep up the piste pranks
*Tricks are very easy to pull off
*Graphically looks a little outdated
*More of a stroll in the park than a slope-shredder
