NovaLogic's big year |
Two more major releases in 1999?
With Delta Force still selling well and the recent announcement of Maximum Overkill fresh in the mind, NovaLogic are going in for the kill with two more major league titles.
First up will be F-22 Lightning III, the threequel to their best-selling combat flight simulator. Slated for a June release, F-22 Lightning III promises to build on the stunning graphics and gameplay of its predecessor, as well as adding new technologies such as Voice-Over-Net.
"Voice-Over-Net technology is an example of how we consistently explore and develop new aspects of gameplay for our customers," said John Garcia, president and CEO of NovaLogic. “By developing technologies such as these, we are able to bring gamers even closer to a truly exciting jetfighting experience.”
Next comes Tachyon: The Fringe, a blend of intergalactic exploration and furious space-fighter combat.
As of September 1999, over 120 human players will be able to blast each other within the same multiplayer environment, thanks to NovaLogic’s NovaWorld online gaming service.
"Tachyon represents a new direction in the space combat genre,” says lead programmer Randy Casey. "We are blending the acclaimed action elements from our combat titles with a compelling adventure, imaginative storyline and a richly explorative universe. The result is an entirely new gaming experience."
Expect to see previews of Maximum Overkill, F-22 Lightning III and Tachyon: The Fringe in forthcoming issues of Future Gamer.
