EA announce WWII combat for PlayStation.
Electronic Arts have just released some hot info on Medal of Honor, a World War II-themed, first-person shooter for the PlayStation.
Currently being developed by DreamWorks Interactive, Medal of Honor places you in the role of a downed American pilot who is recruited by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS). You will participate in covert operations, search and rescue missions and commando raids.
To ensure historical accuracy, DreamWorks Interactive have enlisted the help of retired marine Captain Dale Dye, renowned for his contribution to such movies as Saving Private Ryan and Platoon.
Some of the proposed features are making Future Gamer’s palms rather sweaty. Check these out:
Choose from 15 authentic weapons from the era, including Thompson sub-machine guns, sniper rifles and the OSS assassination crossbow.
Sneak around disguised as a German soldier, but remember to salute the officers or you’ll be discovered. There's plenty of two-player action including head-to-head, co-operative and a crazy version of ‘hot-potato’ involving a live hand grenade.
