Acclaim to release Wipeout-style DC racer…
Criterion Studios are in the process of developing a new racer for the Dreamcast. The tentatively titled Velocity will have you bombing around on gravity-defying hover boards, with the emphasis firmly on stunts.
Choose from nine distinct characters, each with their own specific attributes, then thrash it out in London, New York, Cairo and Tokyo.
This eclectic mix of Wipeout-style racing and 1080’s hair-raising stunts is looking absolutely gorgeous, even at this early stage, with highly realistic character animation.
Latest rumours suggest that Acclaim and Criterion are looking into the possibilities of online play – enabling Dreamcast and PC players to compete together over the Internet.
