Stolar addresses Game Developers Conference.

In his keynote speech at the Game Developers Conference, Sega of America president, Bernie Stolar, revealed a few juicy details regarding the US Dreamcast launch.

While declining to comment on the two biggest questions (when and how much), Stolar did reveal enough information to whip up a bit of excitement.

Titles confirmed for the US launch are: House of the Dead 2, Geist Force, Sonic Adventure, Virtua Fighter 3tb, Super Speed Racing, Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat 5, Ready 2 Rumble and a new Castlevania title. It would be rather surprising if Sega Rally 2 didn’t make the launch as well.

The other interesting disclosure concerned the modem. It has been confirmed that the US Dreamcast will omit the 33.6k modem in favour of a faster 56k model.
