Power of PlayStation

Dear Future Gamer,

I've just finished reading issue 18 and I felt like I had to write in and complain. I know that everyone is really excited about PlayStation 2 (I can't see why) but that doesn't mean that you should disregard the Dreamcast just like that.

I mean, you didn't even have anything about the Dreamcast in that issue - instead you filled about 12 pages with PlayStation 2 information, which is fair enough, but what about Dreamcast news and reviews? So far all you've done for the Dreamcast is a preview of Powerstone and a review of Sega Rally 2. Why not take a step back and review games like Sonic Adventure and Virtua Fighter 3tb? You’d better also review House Of The Dead 2 which comes out on March 18.

Why don't you do a diary for ShenMue like you have done for Alien Vs Predator? Why not do a report on what the Dreamcast's launch games are going to be when it comes out in Europe?

Why does everyone think that just because Sony have released the specs for PlayStation 2, the Dreamcast is dead? It's only just come out in Japan and it's not even out in the rest of the world yet.

I know that there are a lot of people out there looking forward to PlayStation 2 but there are also a lot of people out there looking forward to the Dreamcast and would like some coverage of Sega's amazing console.

FG: Obviously we went to town on the PlayStation 2 news. We are starting to cover more Dreamcast stuff, because despite what you might think, we haven’t disregarded the machine at all. Our coverage of the machine will increase as the European release date gets nearer – when the majority of gamers will be able to go out and buy a machine and games for it. That’s still six months away but any interesting news, or big games that are released between now and then will be covered in Future Gamer. Fear not Dreamcast owners, and potential owners, you’ll have plenty to read about your machine in this magazine.
