Monster Truck Madness page 2 of 2
N64

Tell me, what are the game modes on offer?
You've got six modes of play in all. 'Exhibition' is your standard one-off race for up to four players. 'Circuit' is more of a season kind of thing - play through all seven tracks, providing you achieve the required results to progress. 'Rumble' is quite a laugh in a King of the Hill kinda way. You have to make your way to an elevated platform and stay there for as long as possible, while your opponents try to knock you off. And then there's 'Police Chase', the classic hunter/hunted scenario. Finally we have 'Indoor Soccer' and 'Ice Hockey'. Imagine a giant football, two goals and four Monster Trucks. Then imagine the same but on ice. With a puck.

Ha! You said...
... puck!

Do you get power-ups like in Mario Kart 64?
"Stupid is as stupid does, Forrest."

Erk?
Six power-ups are available to spice up the action. Pretty standard fare they are too, with all your favourites making an appearance. Expect to see homing missiles, shields, invisibility, super jumps, hovers, miniaturisers and turbo boosts.

That'll do.
Suppose so.

*Six modes of play provide something for everyone
*Drive 20 of the most famous Monster Trucks
*Seven enormous tracks, including two exclusive to the N64
*Graphically tidy with some nice lighting effects
*Are Monster Trucks actually any good?
