Judge allows PlayStation emulator
Sony's attempts to halt the sale of the latest PlayStation emulator for the PC failed when a San Francisco District Court judge ruled in favour of developer Bleem. The Japanese giant launched legal action as part of a policy to stop anyone from producing emulators which enable PlayStation games to be played on PCs and Macs. Sony are already in a legal battle with Connectix for their Virtual Gamestation (VGS) Mac-based PlayStation emulator.
Although Bleem isn't 100 per cent compatible with the games, the developers claim to have an 80 per cent success rate, with the percentage growing ever higher as the program is tweaked. For futher information, check out The Bleem site.
