Wireplay to host Sierra's Starsiege Tribes
Wireplay have announced that they will be the official UK host for Starsiege Tribes, the forthcoming team-based, multiplayer combat simulation from Sierra. The game has already proved massively popular in the States, and it's been one of the most successful online games since its release last month.
"Tribes has built an ardent following among the US gaming community since its release in early March and we are looking forward to a similar buzz happening here in the UK," commented Sierra marketing manager, Stephen Loveday.
Starsiege Tribes, which offers multiplayer action for up to 32 players, is a futuristic affair set in the year 2829 and Wireplay are confident it will be hit in the UK: "Team-based games are a real favourite among the Wireplay online community and Tribes is the best example of a game of this type to date," said Wireplay's James Kaye. "Wireplay's high-speed gaming network will show this game off to its best effect".
Starsiege Tribes launches on May 7.
