Nintendo announce racing sequel
Last year's F-1 World Grand Prix on the N64 was well received by critics and gamers alike, so news of a sequel comes as no surprise.
But wasn't the original racing perfection? Maybe so, but you must make sure that the driver's statistics are completely up to date. So what does this sequel offer by way of new features?
Well, you get 22 drivers making up the 11 teams and 17 authentic F-1 courses on which to prove yourself. Five game modes are sure to keep you busy - choose from Exhibition, Grand Prix, Challenge, Time Trial and Broadcast. No really, there's a game mode called Broadcast. Your guess is as good as ours at this point. Perhaps you get to be Murray Walker.
Cars will be far more customisable than in the previous offering, with races won or lost on rear wing settings or tyre compound selection.
F-1 World Grand Prix II is slated for a July 26 release and will be playable at E3.
