Wireplay scrap charges

Come April 21 everyone will have free access to BT's Wireplay games network. The network is creating two new arenas - PowerPlay, a dial-up multiplayer gaming arena which combines Wireplay's current channels with full Internet access (as long as you connect through either BT ClickFree, BT Internet or Wireplay Direct) and OpenPlay which is available to any Internet user from any service provider.

PowerPlay is a UK-only service and offers users a more powerful version of the existing Wireplay service, but now all you'll have to pay are local call rates.

OpenPlay offers a limited range of games and, as no control can be exerted over the player's access, there are no guarantees of gameplay performance. Connecting to Wireplay through non-BT platforms will limit the user to the OpenPlay arena only.
