I've seen a picture of the gun; is that a D-pad on the back?
Yes, it has got a D-pad, and it's not as stupid as it first appears. In House of the Dead 2, the D-pad is used for navigating the various options and play modes. It's far easier than using the gun to choose.
How thrilling. Tell me more about the graphics.
The graphics are faithful to the arcade version and are unlike anything seen in the home thus far. Unless of course you have an arcade cabinet in your home.
I think I've soiled my britches!
What? You haven't even experienced the toilet-inducing fear that rips through you when faced with three axe-wielding creatures of the night. Maybe you should buy a cork before you buy this game.
When can I buy this game?
A good importer should be able to get it for you right now, although you are going to pay heavily for your impatience, sorry, I mean your passion for games. Don't be surprised if this is one of the European Dreamcast launch titles... roll on September 23.
Did you know that Dostoevsky wrote a book called House of the Dead?
Show off.
Ha! I know something you don't...
... Written in 1861, Dostoevsky's House of the Dead is a fictional memoir of a man serving a 10-year prison sentence for murdering his wife. Ha!
Grrrr... one of these days...
And again, ha!
*It's an arcade game in your front room
*Extra play modes add to the replay value
*Two-player action should be fun, providing you give the standard controller to your friend
*It's a bit scary, even for mature gamers
*Might be a little too tough for some
