Dear Future Gamer,
In issue 26 you published a reply from me in reply to letters that were in reply to my original complaint about swearing in FG. I've accused you of being a poor editor in the past, well, that letter proved it! I accept it had to be shortened for space, but not butchered and all the punch taken out of it! Or perhaps you did it on purpose, Mister Editor, to make my points less coherent. Whatever, I've posted a full version of the original letter on my website at http://www.loftrat.freeserve.co.uk/loftrat.htm just for anybody who wants to see what I really said.
By the way, I included my name in the body of the text of my last letter, with Allan spelt with an 'a' not 'e'. I also signed off with the correct spelling, so why in FG26 does it say 'Patrick Allen Gannon'? Another example of good editing I suppose!
You may well be twice my age, but you don't act it. Try growing up, mentally. It isn't good to use foul language, it isn't clever. You think I've adopted a puritanical attitude on swearing do you? Well you are the editor of a publication which many young people read, and you allowed, several times now, foul swear words to be printed. This clearly shows that you are contributing to the downfall of society more than most. You may not be 'evil', in the Peter Mandleson way, but you are certainly misguided.
You are in position of responsibility, you have abused that position and attempted to corrupt a thousand young minds. If you are a decent man there is only one thing for you to do, resign from your post as editor of Future Gamer. Or you could continue and vow never to publish foul language again, but I doubt you could pull that off. Mister Editor, Andy Smith are you a decent man?
Patrick Allan Gannon
FG:
Enough! I resign! Before I go though, exactly why is Peter Mandleson evil? Oh and sorry we got your name wrong Putrick Allan Gammon (little, immature editing gag there Pat, don't take it to heart).
