Tut. Golf may not have the energy of a first-person shooter, but when they're done well golf games can be immensely entertaining. You really shouldn't be such a genre fascist.

Yeah, right, name me any good golf game then...
Have you played Everybody's Golf on the PlayStation? It's a corking title.

Console, schmonsole. I'm on PC.
The Links series has always been popular. Empire's The Golf Pro 2 (featuring Gary Player) has been well received too.

Fine. Okay, suppose I broaden my horizons. Why should I play PGA Championship?
If the official endorsement doesn't do it for you then consider the control method...

I know, press to get the strength of shot, press again to swing and press to make sure you hit it on the right line and don't slice and hook...
That'll teach you to just jump in. You're wrong. PGA Championship uses the modern, preferred, mouse swing method.

Oh, sorry. What's that then?
Though not the first game to use it, PGA Championship enables you to hold the mouse button, pull back on the mouse (golfer takes back swing) and push forward quickly (golfer strikes ball). This enables the player to determine the strength of the shot with much more accuracy.
