Dear Future Gamer,
I believe it is time that we all stopped this drudgery of the 'my console's better than yours' debate and instead looked forward to the delights that are to come. The PlayStation, N64 and Saturn are merely the appetisers for the feast that is to follow.
While I too am excited about Next Generation PlayStation, it is the Dreamcast that is really getting me excited. Let me tell you that I rejoiced at the news you brought me today, that a modem will be included as standard and all for the astonishingly low price of £199. The thought of Sega Rally 2 online has set my pulse racing and will no doubt save me from pumping so many coins into their arcade cabinet. The prospect of opening up multiplayer gaming to the masses is something at which every gamer should rejoice.
Rest assured, come September I will be one of the many getting my greasy little mitts on that shiny new hardware. Forget NGP for the moment as the dawn of the Dreamcast will soon be upon us. As I believe someone called Fatboy Slim once said: "Right here, right now".

This is more like it. What a refreshing and splendidly enthusiastic, frank, open letter. Certainly, Sega have declared their hand (and about time too) and they'll have over a year to build up the Dreamcast user base before the 'big guns' return in the next Millennium. It'll be interesting to see whether The Man On The Clapham Omnibus buys into it.
