Dear Future Gamer,
Since my last letter in FG27 I have had lots of feedback from FG readers, some of it good! One person used the submit form on my website to make his email address the same as yours. The irony is that this person was in clear support of you, yet if it really had been you, coming from your Future email address, you would find yourself in hot water, not just with the people at Future but also with the law!
How pathetic it is that people in "popular culture" feel so threatened when one person speaks out of turn! A lot of the pro-swearing feedback seems to think that I believe I am somehow higher than they are. This is where they put me, I don't! I see no reason for an objection to swear words in print to be made into some kind of snobbery. I simply don't like swearing okay? I have grown out of swearing and I think it unnecessary to be printed in a publication whose audience is always going to be quite young.
As for all the suggestions on how I should live my life, such as drinking alcohol and meeting girls, I'll simply remind people that not everybody is a conformist. And as for those who comment on my own grammatical failings and sometime spelling mistakes, I apologise but there is nothing I can do about it. I have suffered from dyslexia all my life, and though I believe I've just about overcome it I do make mistakes.
Worry not, I'm ending my participation in this debate. I know I am very unpopular because I don't like swearing. Enough of the point scoring and over-inflation of this debate, it needs to end before it goes very stale. I feel that despite making my campaign a little over the top, I was right to take issue - that's what democracy is all about. Of course there is no need for you to resign, I just hope that in future when those foul swear words appear you'll just stop and consider what a riot they have caused, and what insults and perhaps hatred (you should see some of my feedback!) they have incited.

FG:
Hello again. This debate has indeed become stale. You’re entitled to your opinion Patrick and I respect it. Before you go off on one about me editing out the middle portion of your letter, I’ve had to for legal reasons. Libel is a serious offence and a writ from Peter Mandleson’s lawyers is not what we’re looking for. It’s a shame I had to cut it though because Patrick gave us a chuckle when he described himself as asexual. We’re sure he meant to say that he has no pro or anti-hetero or homosexual views, but the dictionary definition of asexual is: 'having no apparent sex or sex organs'.
