FGC was nothing more than a minnow among sharks in the world of clans when I last spoke to you, but since then many new members have joined, tournaments have been played and little things called Quake 3 Arena and Team Fortress Classic have shown their youthful good looks. FGC has seen more growth than the Lawson boom of the late '80s (forgive me for my economic analogies - I just finished my exams). We now have approximately 30 FGC members scurrying round the jungles of Delta Force, placing sneaky trip mines round sharp corners on Half-Life or answering the call of 'Excuse me, I'm in need of medical attention' on TFC.

FGC has also launched the FGC site at www.zap.to/fgc, where you'll currently find gaming tips and instructions on beginning online gaming, FGC members and logos and a whole host of other useful things to help you on your way. If you can bear a little typo (Kaneda, the main guy at FGC, is Dutch) then you should enjoy what we've put together so far, and there's still lots to come.

In actual clan achievements, FGC has already been successful twice in Half-Life tournaments, with yours truly winning the first GUN match; Kaneda was a distant second (honest). In the second GUN match, Kaneda and I changed places in a close game. Our rewards were games of our choice, which can't be bad for a free online gaming tournament. The GUN HL tournaments are now run by FGC_Macca and FGC_Hiltono, so expect biased decisions and bizarre rules in FGC's favour in matches to come. The GUN site can be found at www.gamersunitednetwork.de and is certainly worth a look as it's free!

So what's in store for FGC over the summer? Well, we're looking for more people to join, as you'd expect, but we also want your help. FGC_Tek would like to start a Star Craft Clan, I want a Midtown Madness Clan and Kaneda... well, he just wants a girlfriend. Kaneda is also looking for as much assistance as possible for the site so, for now, go to the Future Gamer Forum, drop us a line and you may end up writing for us.
