Future Gamer: Issue 35 £0.00

Our news this week includes a story on how the cheap PlayStation games situation looks likely to change come July 15, which is a shame. Elsewhere in the news you'll find reports on the Dreamcast's 60MHz option and PlayStation emulator Bleem!, finally starting to ship Stateside - no, really this time.

We've got another Clan report to keep you up to date with everything that's happening in the world of multiplayer online gaming, and there's a cheeky Your Shout to, hopefully, raise a smile.

The PC's favoured this week as we review and preview a couple of very big games, so don't miss those. Elsewhere you'll find N64, Dreamcast and PlayStation games to read all about.

And, naturally, we haven't forgone any of our regulars. Game Kid's finally recovered from his weekend of love in Glastonbury and there's plenty of Feedback for you to sink your teeth into.

All this wonderment is tinged with a hint of sadness as we bid farewell to Production Editor and token girly Vicki. She's moved onto PlayStation Power magazine and we're sorry to see her go and want to take this opportunity to thank her for her sterling service to Future Gamer and to wish her well in her new job. Filling Vicki's boots is new boy Mark Wheatley. Hurrah! Welcome aboard Mark.

In this issue:
Preview: System Shock 2 (PC)
The first System Shock helped set the trend for first-person shooters, a trend refined by the seminal Half-Life. Now EA have introduced role-playing elements to System Shock's sequel and Future Gamer have been very impressed.
Review: Dungeon Keeper 2 (PC)
Sometimes it's good to be bad and so Horny and his chums are back for the sequel to the wonderful Dungeon Keeper. Improved and updated, has enough been added to the original to make you want to come back for more? Find out here.
Feature: Multiplayer Gaming
Ex-Edge staffer Keith Stuart rounds off his two-part investigation into the growth of multiplayer gaming. Here's where you'll find the answers to all those questions you were too afraid to ask.

Future Gamer was brought to you by: Andy Smith [editor], Steve Bradley [deputy editor], Mark Wheatley [production editor] and Andy Ashwin [staff writer]. Contributors: Keith Stuart, Steve Owen, Les Ellis, Ben East, Dale Bradford, Gideon Kibblewhite, Robert Wilson.
